Minecraft BlockLapis Lazuli is a semi-precious material that is slightly less rare than diamond and has about the same rarity as Gold Ore , being found only in lower levels of a world. It can be found underground in layers 5-11. When mined, it can drop 4-8 Lapis Lazuli . However, that is dependent on enchantments on the tool used.

Trivia
- Lapis Lazuli is one of the two ore blocks with a different pattern than the other ores, the other being Emerald Ore .
- Just like with redstone , maps generated before lapis lazuli was added will have none of this ore unless new terrain is generated.
