Week 2 Summer Code-A-Thon Challenge: Tell Us Your Best Joke!
It’s week 2 of the Summer Code-A-Thon! Last week, kids submitted thousands of “summer celebration” projects, and this week, the challenge is “Tell Us Your Best Joke!”
To get started, kids can work through our “Tell a Joke” tutorial, which teaches them the coding fundamentals they’ll need to create a simple joke project. Once they’ve learned the basics, they can program their favorite joke – or come up with a totally new one – and share it with the Tynker community!
Experienced coders can start from a blank template and create anything they want! Kids can submit any project to the Summer Code-A-Thon, but extra points will be given for using the theme.
The Summer Code-A-Thon is free and open to all. All you need to do is create a free parent-verified account to be eligible to win prizes. Please share this program with anyone who might be looking for ways to keep their kids engaged over the summer!
