Tynker announced the launch of their summer coding camps in game design, Minecraft modding, and creative coding, providing opportunities for young minds to explore and develop their passion for technology.

Tynker Summer Camp Courses

Intro to Game Design Students will get to design all sorts of game types, like top-down role-playing games, side scrollers, and games with physics. Plus, they'll get to explore Tynker's new Arcade Maker!

Game Design Studio They'll learn how to create their own 2D worlds, design characters and animations, program controls and motion, add music and sound effects, and master the art of game logic. 

Intro to Minecraft modding They will unlock the secrets of coding and become a master at creating their own Minecraft world! As they solve puzzles and conquer coding challenges, they'll journey through six unique worlds, each with its own set of thrilling adventures.

Modding Studio 1 They will learn to create code that can augment their Minecraft world as they play, offering a perfect starting point for anyone who wants to learn how to create Minecraft mods while following fundamental coding principles.

Modding Studio 2 They will travel through time as they create minigames and solve 48 coding challenges in six thrilling worlds. With each challenge they conquer, they'll find gears that will help them save the day.

Creative Coding As they progress, they'll experiment with musical notes, generate math art, design level-based games and even explore the exciting world of Augmented Reality using their webcam and gesture detection.

Intro to AI/ML Designed to introduce kids to the big ideas behind AI and how they can be used to create amazing, dynamic effects in live video projects. They will explore advanced concepts like computer vision (CV) and natural language processing (NLP) and learn how to apply them to their projects. 

Python  They'll learn the ins and outs of Python while building classic games like Connect 4, Tetris, Snake, and Frogger. As they master the basics, they'll get to solve real-world challenges, gaining a deeper understanding of advanced topics like lists, dictionaries, classes, objects, and recursion.
