The Facts of Life – is an app that will help children understand “where babies come from” in an interactive, wholesome, and fun way. It is thoughtful and age appropriate and it answers many questions children may have about this topic—in a “just enough” way.
PageSpeed Insights – is a Google product which allows you to input a website URL and then for you to receive a score on how fast that website loaded on the desktop and on a mobile. You can then receive detailed instructions on how to increase that loading score with suggestions such as enabling compression, optimizing images, and leveraging browser caching.
Tynker – is a new computing platform designed specifically to teach children programming skills and computational thinking in a fun and imaginative way. Built by technology veterans to inspire their own children, and children everywhere, to understand and enjoy programming through building games, mobile apps, creating music, animating drawings and more.
One Today – is a mobile app that brings together people and nonprofits through the simple act of giving $1. One Today will present you with a new project every day from a nonprofit that is changing the world. You can donate to the projects that inspire you with just one click. Amplify your impact by sharing your donations with your friends on social media and matching their contributions to your favorite projects.
TimesMachine – is a section on the New York Times website where you can zoom in and browse old NYT newspapers from the past. You can read the articles, jump to different dates in the past, and you can also use your mouse to click on stories to highlight them for easier reading.
