Timers, Triangles, Fruit Ninja, and a Dinosaur Chase – A Typical Class Showcase
There is no better way to inspire, motivate and excite kids in the learning process than to have their work chosen and displayed! At Tynker we believe strongly in providing a learning environment that motivates kids – The Class Showcase is a great way for teachers to highlight their students’ best creations and ‘showcase’ them to the world.
Many of our teachers publish student showcases. This is the showcase of a Tynker after school class at a Bay Area middle school.
The first thing you notice is the variety of interests of students, demonstrated by the diverse set of projects.
They designed a digital stopwatch…
made visual math patterns…
created an animated story…
and built their own versions of games…
.. all the while learning and applying concepts of programming, sometimes without even realizing it!
Class showcases allow teachers and students to see what others are creating using Tynker, enabling a sharing of ideas and providing inspiration. It helps teachers compare work and monitor progress within and across multiple classrooms. And very importantly, it keeps parents informed and engaged.
Teachers, log in now to create and publish a Showcase and show your students that their work is valued!
