Peep Is Coming to the Hour of Code!
We’re thrilled to announce a new partnership with public media leader WGBH Boston. Together we’re offering new tutorials for the Hour of Code based on the beloved characters Peep, Chirp, and Quack from the STEM-themed TV show Peep and the Big Wide World.
Early elementary students can learn to code with Peep as they build creative storytelling and animation projects such as Dance with Friends and Nature Walk. In these fun activities, students follow step-by-step instructions to program their own animated scenes.
If you’re using a desktop, laptop, or Chromebook computer, you can access these activities by clicking on the links provided. These activities come with audio instructions to help students who are early readers. If you’re using iPads tablets, you can download the free Tynker app from the App Store and go to the “Hour of Code” section of the workshop. If you’re planning to use these activities with your students, make sure to check out our Peep Teacher Guide!
Thank you for joining us for an Hour of Code! We can’t wait to see what your students will create.
