Mythicraft: Bring Amazing Creatures to Life With Our NEW Course

Mythicraft is the newest way to mod your Minecraft world! Follow along as your guide, Lola, takes you through the creation of skins, magic items and blocks, and mythical creatures. The Mythicraft course is available with your Tynker Premium plan on tynker.com, as well as in the Tynker iPad app.

You’ll start with the basics – learning how to create a skin with our visual editor, how to save and apply a resource pack, and how to create mobs with our cube editor. Over the course of Mythicraft’s six lessons, you’ll learn how to use the behavior editor to create extraordinary creatures!

• Learn The Basics: start by creating an enchanted bookcase, a rainbow sword, and a jackalope
• Creatures of Ancient Greece: modify common animals to create Cerberus, Chimaera, and Pegasus
• Rivalry in Atlantis: orchestrate a feud between Cecaelias and Mermaids, and learn to build a trident
• Land of the Rising Sun: wreak havoc on a village with legendary tricksters the Kappa, Kitsune, and Nekomata
• Terrors of Transylvania: learn to create a spooky Vampire, Werewolf, and wall engraving
• Feathered Flyers: create a legendary Phoenix, a regal Quetzalcoatl, and a majestic Thunderbird

Design Minecraft Add-Ons

In earlier versions of Minecraft, you could only modify an entity by re-coloring its skin. With Add-Ons, however, you can now change the models of the Mobs in addition to the skin.

For example, you can clone, stretch, or delete cubes to turn a rabbit into a Jackalope or a pig into a boar.

Change Default Behaviors

You can change the default behaviors of your Mobs using our behavior editor, which features Tynker’s familiar drag-and-drop programming. For example, here’s a modified pig that’s not only colored yellow, but also has behaviors that change when it’s damaged.

Deploy to Minecraft Immediately

Mythicraft is compatible with Minecraft on Windows 10 and iPad. If you’re using Tynker on Windows 10 or the Tynker iPad app, you can deploy your creations to Minecraft by simply clicking the play button in the editor.

From there, find the Add-On section under “Settings” in each of your worlds.

1. Open “Settings” for the world that you want to install the resource
2. Enable cheats in your world
3. Under “Resource Packs,” install the Add-On Resource Pack for this Add-On
4. Under “Behavior Packs,” install the Add-On Behavior Pack for this Add-On
5. Use “/summon chicken” to spawn your 3 headed chicken, for example

Even if you’re using Tynker on a Mac, PC, or Chromebook, you can deploy your creations onto your phone or tablet using one of two methods. Method 1 is great if you’d like to access all your Add-Ons once you sign into Minecraft on your mobile device, whereas Method 2 is great for quickly sharing a single Add-On.

Method 1: Sign into your Tynker account from your phone

1. On your phone, sign in to your Tynker account
2. Find your Add-On under Minecraft → My Projects → Add-Ons
3. “Download” the Add-On
4. Click on the “Open in Minecraft” link – this launches Minecraft and imports your Add-On

Method 2: Use the 5-digit code

1. On your phone, go to https://www.tynker.com/get/
2. Enter the code of the item. It will look something like “cq4l2”
3. “Download” the Add-On
4. Click on the “Open in Minecraft” link – this launches Minecraft and imports your Add-On
