It’s Monday, which means it’s time to catch up on everything that happened in the Tynker community last week! Between the release of Autumn Leaves, some great Maker projects, and tips on why Tynker is a great use of screen time, there’s a lot to share this week. Read on to take a look at some highlights!
Projects of the Week
Play as the fearless Cyborg Dog and try to defeat the robotic cats in this adventure game!
Throw your shurikens at the evil red ninjas trying to ambush you! Utilize your ninja abilities to fend off the enemies!
Aim your laser at the oncoming alien ships trying to reach you to blast them away!
This multiplayer defense game allows players to choose a side and try to take down the opposing player!
Please customers in this simulator that turns you into a professional juicer! Mix the appropriate ingredients together in the blender to keep your customers happy!

Our Featured Maker this week is 10-year-old Henry from Illinois, who loves cats and wants to be an inventor when he grows up! His advice to kids starting out with Tynker? “Just try your hardest!”
We’re excited to announce a new coding game, Autumn Leaves! Kids can code a leaves-catching game using block-based coding in this fall seasonal project!
Wondering how your kids can use their screen time to the fullest? Tynker helps kids develop problem solving and critical thinking skills, all while coding in a creative environment! As Featured Teacher John Frezza told us about how Tynker helps students approach problem solving: “They have no fear to think outside the box and try something to fix or solve a problem that may seem insurmountable at first. That’s the approach we want the students taking across all content areas.”
Our Featured School this week is Barrington CSUD 220! According to Elizabeth Nelson, K-5 STEM Teacher for Barrington CSUD 220, “Tynker’s games, coding projects, and puzzles push students to apply computational thinking, as well as practice soft skills like creativity.”
