Community Highlights: May 22 – 28
Happy Monday! We hope you’re all enjoying the long weekend. This week, we’re bringing you the best of the Tynker community – from projects that we love playing to makers who inspire us.
Projects of the Week
Gold-puzzle: Make sure you don’t miss this one! The goal is to get the large square from the left of the screen to the right by moving blocks one by one. The game will even demo the shortest solution for you! View on the Tynker app for the best experience (the blocks move more smoothly).
Connect 4: This game of Connect 4 detects whether a player has one and even has a neat animation of the pieces falling.
This is a 3 Level Game!: A really impressive three-level physics game where you’re trying to get a cannonball to a stack of gold by manipulating various elements of the environment.
Squiggle Creature: This project creates a very cool visual effect with a chain of circles that follows where you touch the screen – but it’s unfortunately only supported on the app. Since you can’t view it on web, check it out on the Tynker app or the TynkerTube app.
Featured Makers
This week, we featured two more young makers on the Tynker Blog: Andreea, a 10-year-old from Alabama, and Leiton, a 12-year-old from Arizona.
Leiton told us that all of his friends use Tynker – and that they often work on projects together and give each other feedback. Andreea says her friends use Tynker as well, and sometimes kids come up to her at school and congratulate her on getting projects featured.

Teacher Carrie Robledo wrote a blog post for the Moore County Schools blog Spotlighting Moore called “Soaring to New Heights” in which she talks about her experiences using Tynker’s drone curriculum to teach coding, geometry, communication and more.
