Community Highlights: March 5 – March 11
We love seeing (and sharing) what the Tynker community is up to! This week, our users were busy creating fantastic games and animations. One user even began an art contest among other young coders! Check out our Twitter highlights for a look at how classes are learning Tynker during indoor recess, through drone flight, and more!

On the Blog
Another busy week for our blog! We posted this article to commemorate International Women’s Day, and this article about peer learning went live this week.
This week’s Featured Makers were Ceicilia and Mishka. Mishka is constantly brainstorming and told us, “Sometimes at school when there’s a boring class I think of ideas, like, ‘Ooh, that’d be a good game idea!’” Ceicilia is an internationally competitive pianist and told us that when she started Tynker, she “instantly fell in love with it!”
We posted two teacher features this week, Scott Wiessner of Vista Unified SD and Christine Dixon of San Marcos United SD. Scott uses Tynker in special education classes and dubbed Tynker “the gateway to the digital world in elementary.” Christine shared great descriptions of how her students interact with Tynker in her classroom. She teases her students that she can “literally see their brains working!”
Keep contributing to the Tynker community! Parents and teachers can connect with us on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and the Tynker Community Forum. Kids can start learning to code and creating for free with the Tynker app for iPads or by playing our Hour of Code activities!
