Community Highlights: June 25 – July 1
Monday is here, which means it’s our chance to share everything that’s been going on in the Tynker community over the past week! From a fun blob dodge game to a creative cat clicker, there are so many great user-made projects to check out. Don’t miss Barbie® and ISTE highlights from our Twitter feed!
Projects of the Week
STC 25 – The Beautiful Game by Spread the Code
Team up with a friend to get past the defense in this excellent soccer game.
A Lone Wolfs Mark Pt. 1 and A Lone Wolfs Mark Pt. 2 by Katie
We were very impressed by the detailed art and storytelling in these projects.
Dream Eater’s edition by Dream Eater
In this game, you’ll have to manage your power-ups wisely to defeat the enemy ghouls. The power-ups all have different cooldowns.
Blob Dodge by Winding Softball
In this game, you have to avoid all the blobs. Each level increases the difficulty by adding an extra blob.
Parachute Kitten by Grimy Bakery
Fly and parachute around the map. Tap and hold to move Parachute Kitten.
Flood escape extreme by Delayed Box
This is like many other maze projects, but with an added twist – if you don’t escape the maze in time, you’ll get caught by the flood.
Use random objects to solve the puzzles and escape from prison.
The Game of Life Tynker Edition by Capital Crocodile
Play a simplified single player version of the classic board game The Game of Life.
cat clicker beta by deadlydragon
This funny project has several animations that play when you click the cats.
Tweets of the Week
Between the release of Robotics Engineer Barbie and ISTE, Twitter was busy this week! Big names like TIME, People, and Cosmopolitan expressed excitement about Tynker and Barbie’s latest partnership. There were also a lot of cute Instagram posts of girls coding with our new Barbie courses.

On the Blog
This week’s Featured Makers were Mathew and Penelope. Mathew told us that he loves to code because he finds joy in creating projects for other people to enjoy. Penelope told us that her coding skills have improved a lot since she started coding with Tynker and that she thinks “it’s really amazing, what coding can do.”
We also posted this article full of coding tips from kids, for kids. One of our favorites is, “I would say to never give up. Once you start a project and something is hard don’t just quit it. If you have trouble coming up with an idea, just ask your family and friends – or look on Tynker, because loads of people use Tynker!”
Keep contributing to the Tynker community! Parents and teachers can connect with us on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and the Tynker Community Forum. Kids can start learning to code and creating for free with the Tynker app for iPads or with our FREE Summer Code-A-Thon!
