Community Highlights: February 3 – February 9
Every Monday we share the best of the Tynker community with you. From learning about the water cycle to adding wings to a panda, this week’s projects are really fun! Take a few minutes to check them out – you won’t be disappointed.
Projects of the week:
BACON SURVIVAL – You are bacon. How long can you survive the onslaught of hungry smiley faces?
The water cycle – This animated infographic will teach you about the water cycle.
BIKING SIM – This biking project has a lovely color-changing background!
SPACE TRAVELS BETA – Play as a blue planet and travel through space while navigating tricky obstacles.
Panda Dress Up! – This adorable baby panda has wings and a hat!
Emoji Animator (DONT COPY PLEASE) – Click each of the emojis to play a hand-drawn animation.
Traffic Jam – Drag your car through the traffic jam. You’ll have to rotate your car to avoid collisions!
Cavemen, History of the world – Take a few seconds to check out this hilarious animation.

On the blog:
We brainstormed 11 free STEM activities for kids! We had a guest poster this week – Mr. Howard from Texas, who said, “I’ve seen great reactions from my students when they complete a difficult project. The greatest treat for me is when I hear one student teaching another student.”
Our Featured Maker this week was William. His first language is French, so his dad translated the interview in real-time! We revamped an article outlining ways coding improves writing skills. Last but not least, we shared a few Valentine’s Day projects.
