Community Highlights: February 13 – 19
Happy Presidents Day! If your kids are home for the day, don’t miss our fun cross-curricular Presidents Day project, where kids combine coding and history. Here’s what’s new in the Tynker community this past week:
Featured Makers
This week, we featured two more kids on the Tynker blog: Gabriella, an aspiring actress, and Fatima, who’s already published a book!
Projects of the Week
Jurassic World Animations: This beautiful project combines amazing animations, coding, and dinosaurs! Click on any dinosaur icon to see a different frame-based animation.
Super mario bros: Tynker edition: This game is much easier to play on a tablet, but you can still appreciate the fun graphics the maker added to this platformer game.
hedwigs theme: If you’re a fan of the Harry Potter movies, you’ll recognize this song as the theme for Harry’s owl, Hedwig.
Tynker in the News
EdTech Digest published a fun roundup of FETC resources for making, including Tynker in a special section on “digital making.”
The Edvocate posted their recommendations for how to teach young kids to code, and specifically highlighted Tynker’s Hour of Code resources.
