Community Highlights: May 15 – 21
Happy Monday! Every week, we bring you the best of the Tynker community – from projects that we love playing to makers who inspire us.
Projects of the Week
This was a phenomenal week for featured projects, so make sure you don’t miss these!
Stack Challenge: This eight-level game is truly innovative and challenging.
Newts vs Salamanders: Another incredibly beautiful animated game from Featured Maker Ethan.
Tea Maker: Featured Maker Danae is back with a delightful interactive animation about making tea.
Featured Makers
This week, we featured two more kid makers: 9-year-old Timothy from London and 14-year-old Connor from Maine.
Check out their profiles to learn why Timothy says it’s important that all kids start learning to code early, and why Connor prefers Tynker to other coding apps.
Tynker in the News
The TOSAs Talking Tech podcast devoted the first half of this week’s episode to Tynker and sharing what they learned in the Blue Ribbon Training last week. They are tremendously enthusiastic about the program and about everything they can do with Tynker.
Tweets of the Week
A truly awesome use of Tynker and drones to create a game of the Harry Potter sport Quidditch:
Fidget spinners are all over the news – and all over the Tynker community!
2017. Give students time to code with @goTynker and what do they create? Digital fidget spinners. Of course. #masonlearns #innovation pic.twitter.com/D108M0IYHQ
