Isabel Has Lots of Cool Hobbies – Including Coding!
Isabel is in 5th grade and is 10 years old. She and her sister Bianca live in Naples, Florida. She loves horseback riding, drawing horses, and building marble tracks. Read on to learn more about why she loves to code!
What do you want to be when you grow up? A scientist that studies horses.
How did you get introduced to Tynker? My sister found out about Tynker and then I tried it too. I thought it was really interesting. We take turns on the iPad and show each other our projects. Sometimes we make them all by ourselves, and sometimes we make them together.
Do you look at the Tynker community projects? Yeah, a lot of times. I like that people get really creative and they create funny things.
What’s your favorite feature in Tynker? That you can create whatever you want, and the possibilities are endless.
What do you do with a project when you’re done with it? We usually publish them, so there will be a lot of projects from us.
What is your favorite thing you’ve made? It’s hard to say – I’ve made a lot of things that I like, but I think my favorite is Ride a Unicorn.
Why do you like to code? I think it’s fun and entertaining. It’s really cool to see what you can do and how it turns out.
Do you think other kids should try coding? Definitely, because if they code they can see what’s behind their iPad, beyond just pushing buttons.
What advice would you give for kids starting out with Tynker? If you want to try something, stick to it and you can do it.
Isabel and Bianca’s mom Danielle is excited that her daughters are interested in coding. She thinks Tynker is great for them because they “don’t enjoy math, but with the Tynker app they’re working through the analytical skills and it is teaching them.”
We’re glad Tynker has been so beneficial and fun for Isabel and Bianca! Thanks for your time, Danielle, Isabel, and Bianca. Isabel – we hope you continue to find coding entertaining, and can’t wait to see what you create next!
