It’s Monday, which means we get to bring you the best and brightest of the Tynker community! From a disco-dancing criminal to a lonely spider, this week’s featured projects are sure to entertain you. Don’t miss the featured tweets and blog update either!
Projects of the Week
The very lonely spider by Myra
This storybook-style project tells the story of a spider trying to make friends.

This is a funny, original cartoon involving time travel.

This simple, clever project will put your mouse or touchpad skills to the test. Keep your cursor away from the blue.
Pong except it’s hard by Gwendolynn
This version of Pong involves controlling four paddles at the same time. Use the arrow keys.
Pickle vs Blob, the beginning of the rival by k’s games
You are a pickle fighting against a blob. Bump into the blob to deal damage, and use items to heal up.

Run away from Liam. Be careful, the room will get smaller over time.

On the Blog
We were busy on the blog this week! Our Featured Makers were Robert and Wyatt, both of whom aspire to be programmers in the future, and have already been coding for a few years. We also posted a Women in STEM article about Carol Shaw, who designed River Raid for Atari as one of the first ever female game designers.
We posted this article about the success of schools who use our premium curriculum on iPad! Two Featured Teacher and Featured School articles went live as well; Miguel Santana from CPS, and Manarat Sana’a International School in Yemen. Mr. Santana raved about Tynker’s scaffolded curriculum and included great quotes from his students, while Arwa Al-Anesi shared her story of teaching Tynker and hope to students in war-torn Yemen.
Last (but not least!) we posted 3 Reasons Parents Choose a Tynker Coding Education. We surveyed Tynker parents to see why they chose to purchase a Tynker plan – the majority (34% of those surveyed) want to prepare their kids for the future with a coding education!
